FANUC has transitioned to (and now LADDER-3i ) for iHMI and 30i-B Series controls. These tools use a .LAD file format and offer offline simulation, tag databases, and export to PDF. However, tens of thousands of older machines still run classic FAPT Ladder, meaning knowledge of the original system remains essential for field service engineers.
