The series revolves around Elliot Alderson (played by Rami Malek), a young and brilliant cybersecurity engineer who suffers from social anxiety disorder and clinical depression. Elliot works for a company called Allsafe, which provides cybersecurity services to corporations. However, Elliot's life takes a dramatic turn when he meets a mysterious figure known as "Mr. Robot" (played by Christian Slater), who is the leader of a hacktivist group called "fsociety."
