MetaSynth 5.0 includes a dedicated environment for signal processing. The Effects Room allows for the application of VST and AU plugins (standard industry formats) as well as MetaSynth’s proprietary effects. Notable among these are the "Spectral" effects, which operate similarly to the Synth Room’s visual logic—applying effects based on the spectral drawing of the user.
