Aside from the Live Access Code used for installation, there are other types of codes used within the game environment:
: Legacy GFWL clients often cannot handle 2FA. You may need to temporarily disable it or use an app password to log into the in-game client.
: Required to access ranked matches and lobby-based online play.
In the late 2000s, publishers began implementing "Online Passes" as a method to combat the used game market. In the case of Street Fighter IV (and its iterations like Super Street Fighter IV ), new copies of the game shipped with a single-use voucher code. This code was required to unlock the game’s online multiplayer modes via Xbox Live or the PlayStation Network.
: Typically on the back of the game's instruction manual.
