This paper examines the enduring popularity of The Incredible Hulk TV series (1978–1982) in Spanish-speaking Latin America, focusing on the (Seasons 1–5) and the Latin Spanish dubbing (“audio latino”) as a vehicle for transcultural adaptation. While the original series starred Bill Bisset as David Banner and Lou Ferrigno as the Hulk, the Latin American dub transformed the show into a local emotional touchstone. We analyze how the dub’s voice acting, translation choices, and broadcast history (through Televisa, Venevisión, etc.) shaped reception.
