The story begins in New York, where Nirupama, a nuclear oncologist, is in a seemingly unhappy marriage with Vishwanathan, an effeminate Kathak dance teacher. Suspicious of his activities, she hires a private detective to follow him. This investigation inadvertently draws them into a deadly web involving an al-Qaeda terrorist cell led by Omar (Rahul Bose), who is planning a nuclear attack.
